This notice applies to the Red Box server software version 1.35/6 under Sun Solaris and DRS/NX. It duplicates Red Box 1.35 Notice 5; ignore it if you have already applied the correction.
When running under Solaris (for Sun and SPARC compatibles) and NX7 (for DRS6000 and s-Series Teamservers), an error in the Red Box delayed update process intermittently causes the Red Box Message Count pop-up to freeze so that it shows the same values continuously. The delayed update process may loop or cause a core dump.
To correct this problem, please apply Red Box amendment rb1.35_ serverplatform_007 (where serverplatform is either sol or drs) as described in the Red Box System Administrator's Guide chapter 14, Applying amendments. The amendment raises your Red Box server version to 1.35/7 and requires 20 Mbyte free disk space in the rboxsw user partition. No changes to Red Box licensing are required.
Amendment rb1.35_serverplatform_007 is on the tape enclosed with the hard copy of this notice.
The amendment is not available from Ultracomp's web site. To receive the amendment on QIC150, 4mm DAT or 8mm Exabyte tape, please call the Ultracomp Support Centre on 0118 973 3456.
