Ultracomp trains ITIMF Student of the Year

November 28, 1996 - ITIMF has presented its ‘Student of the Year’ award to Scott Henderson from SAIC. Ultracomp, the UK’s leading provider of service management software, successfully trained Scott Henderson for the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) of the BCS (British Computer Society) Certificate in IT Service Management.

David Wheeldon, chief consultant, Ultracomp, commented: "Ultracomp is extremely proud to have trained the ITIMF I996 student of the year. Through our training courses, we are now seeing evidence that organisations recognise the true value of service management training and the benefits it brings to their businesses."

Scott Henderson, project manager, SAIC explained: "Ultracomp demonstrated that they knew the subject from a theoretical viewpoint and from practical experience. The trainers were able to relate examples from their own experiences to help explain the topic and keep the interest level going."

"I feel that for a company such as SAIC, who want to provide efficient and cost effective services to a number of clients, the process and procedure guidelines laid out by ITIL provide an excellent foundation. The ITIL training has already benefited SAIC with service transition by helping us to identify weaknesses in existing procedures and recommend solutions," continues Henderson.

Ian Thomson, executive chairman, ISEB, said: " We are delighted that the ISEB qualifications have become a de facto standard within the industry and an influential professional qualification."
