Mole Valley District Council chooses Ultracomp for service management software

Mole Valley District Council in Dorking, Surrey has chosen Red Box to help centralise its IT Help Desk.

March 7, 1997 - Ultracomp, the leading supplier of service management software, has won an order to supply Mole Valley District Council with Red Box, its service management software.

Mole Valley District Council has embarked on a service delivery strategy to enable it to achieve specific objectives that will ensure it improves its quality of service to end users. Bob Thomas, assistant treasurer, explained: "As our IT unit provides support to 200 users, it is essential that we provide a high level of service to keep them all running at maximum efficiency. We recognised that one of the key elements of good service is the implementation of a helpdesk and, after looking at the solutions available on the market, we decided to implement Red Box from Ultracomp."

Thomas continues: "Red Box enables us to record all incidents on key local authority applications, such as Council Tax and Benefits. The implementation of Red Box will enable us to manage, control and ultimately reduce help desk incidents. Red Box was up and running in a few hours and our users and the IT department are already seeing the benefits. Our service management strategy will enable us to increase productivity and therefore ensure more efficient use of taxpayers’ money".
